Getting To Know Your Audience

One thing I always see many people do when they start up a campaign is not do the proper research needed in order for the campaign to be successful.

I fall into this category sometimes, but I never blame the offer no matter how shitty the landing page is.  IF you can understand your audience you can sell them pretty much anything related to that niche and they will buy it.  Unless it is a pile of crap (But why would you be promoting that anyway?)

The main thing you need to do is Research...Research...Research.  Ok I know everyone tells you this, but its a fundamental thing that must be done if you want to be successful online!

One of the first places I head to when beginning my research is Big-Boards.com . I know most people will tell you to head over to Quantcast, Alexa and just do a Google Search for your keywords, but I prefer to get my hands a little dirty and find forums related to that particular niche and start reading them.

You can find a wealth of information and what your potential market wants by simply looking at the various discussions going on.  If you really want to be a part of the market and you have a good amount of offers to promote at your disposal, I often become a part of the various communities so I can get more info out of what the users want (In order to promote to other like minded individuals).

This is how I investigate a potential market and check out to see if their is any potential there.  Everyone is different, so I figured I'd give my take on things.
