Twitter Ads

Ok by now just about everyone in the marketing community has heard that twitter is rolling out their new advertising platform in the form of "Sponsored Tweets".

Honestly, I think they are coming a little late to the game as at least to me, it seems more and more people who still use twitter are using some form of their api to access it.  My only question is how are they going to generate revenue from that?

I can understand the potential revenue from users that still do visit via the regular interface online.  But, to me the real value will be the api based gains that could be received somehow.  I dunno just my thoughts :)

In coming late to the game with this I still stand by that.  While twitter still has a huge audience and a huge following I do think that they have peaked and will not go up like they did before.  But, who knows only time will tell.

I hope that their ad platform does do well as it could be another place I could advertise...

We shall see.
